Jeroen was born on December 6, 1967 in Utrecht. As a child he was a big fan of Blondie and Kiss. Last band's drummer Peter Criss inspired him to aim for a career in music.
Jeroen started as a bassplayer in Reeds!, but stepped behind a drum kit as soon as opportunity knocked. As a drummer, he developed a solid base by playing air drums for years on thousands of songs, on the side of his bed.

Before he joined Paper Moon he played in routined bands like Life To Us and Tunnelfist. Jeroen appreciates the show element as much as making good music. Therefore, he's mad about artists such as Suede, Rammstein and Robbie Williams.
